Why a Ph.D. matters here
Most chemistry struggles are not memory problems
Students rarely fail chemistry because they did not memorise enough. They fail because nobody ever made the mole make sense, so every later unit — stoichiometry, gas laws, solution concentration, equilibrium, titration, thermodynamics — is built on a foundation the student is quietly guessing at.
A tutor who only knows the textbook can re-explain the textbook. Someone who has spent a decade doing and teaching chemistry can hear a wrong answer and tell you which misunderstanding produced it. That diagnosis is the whole job.
Dr. Sahota holds a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Indiana University Bloomington and taught undergraduate chemistry there for nearly four years, having earlier taught General, Organic and Physical Chemistry at Illinois State University. She has run the college course that AP Chemistry is preparing students for, and marked the exams that reveal which high-school foundations never held.

One-on-one sessions are $200 per hour, billed per session, with no package to buy up front and no minimum number of weeks. Both. Online sessions run over video with a shared whiteboard and work for students anywhere in the United States. In-person sessions are available in Fremont and the surrounding Tri-City area.
